Before picking this pair, I made sure to ask how old they were. I asked this question to get a feel for how old the motor, belt, other wearable parts would be. I was told the set was under 10 years old I think the salesman said 6 years old» but it was definitely single digits I wouldn’t have paid $ 200 for a washer or dryer over 10 years old.Fast-​forward 9 months, and the dryer motor failed. Just looking around to price replacement parts, and after some internet research, the model number indicated my dryer was built BEFORE 1996! Wowza! That’s about a 15 year error, there…Needless to say, the replacement motor cost almost as much I paid for the whole friggin’ dryer, so… Not going down that if this normal for them, but I was definitely misled. Be sure and ask the salesman to PROVE to you how old the dryer is before. People on craigslist are more honest than this Just pushed the dryer back from the wall to move it, found that the installer secured the exhaust vent tubing with a plastic zip tie… huh? Dryer exhaust is hot. I wouldn’t think a PLASTIC zip tie is up to code, much less that it seals worth a darn. Hose clamps are used for a reason. And they’re cheap. Zzyzx Z. However, we weren’t ready to buy something brand started with a washing machine from Alberto’s. They had so many to choose from sets or singles at great prices. I’d been doing a ton of searching online craigslist, etc and these prices were definitely better, and they guaranteed the appliances worked and they could always fix any issues we might have in the a week later we returned for a fridge. Alberto was very helpful in trying to give us what we said we wanted and was even willing to negotiate on prices a bit. Major bonus they delivered it to our house for free!A few weeks later the fridge side went out. We called Alberto’s and they had someone come out to fix it. Another two weeks went by and the freezer side went out. The next day they had someone come look at it and decided to swap it out for a different extremely similar if not a little better refrigerator. It’s been over a month and we’ve had no problem. We got a stainless steel side by side for $ 400. They delivered and installed for free. Delivery schedule was several hours off, accounting for my missing star, but generally something I am willing to forgive given the deal. We also had a problem with the freezer about two weeks after we got it. Turned out to be something really simple, a spring that had moved turning transit. I did have to call 2x to get a service appointment, but once it was scheduled they showed up on time and were very pleasant. Fridge comes w 30 day warrantee on parts and lifetime labor, so very pleased with entire experience. Inventory varies daily, and they certainly had higher end products. Ended up being a waste of place is way out of the way if you live in central Austin and hard to find. Google took me to the wrong place first, then once i used an old fashioned map I still drove past it twice since its off the main road, and all the neighborhood construction didn’t was smaller than I expected. DIdn’t see much exciting. Opened the door to a Bosch frontloader since I read online they were pretty good and got nearly knocked over by the smell of mold. You could actually see the spots all around the met Alberto, he seemed nice but he was busy with another customer. I was running late since it took me so long to find the place and the mold thing grossed me out, so I left. Still on a hunt for a washer. Wish ADI hadn’t closed last year. The delivery truck got in an accident on the way to our house and our washer didnt even turn on when they got there. They took this set away and asked us to come pick out a new found some LG’s that were of similar price range and they delivered those next-​day. Upon install, the dryer wasn’t putting out hot air. GREAT. They said that a technician would be back later that day to check it out. We waited for a few hours and the tech actually did get it to work by replacing the thermostat. The dryer worked for a few days but when we tried to use the steam» option, it sounded like it was going to explode and got really offered to swap out for yet another pair, but we have a baby on the way and don’t really have time to waste on exchanging what would have been a third combo and a 4th visit. They agreed to refund me my money and scheduled a pick up of the washer/​ say that the company did have great customer service and situations like this can happen, especially with repaired/​refurbished equipment. I think it was just a bad luck of the draw for us but I can say that they should really be testing out all the equipment thoroughly before selling it. David V. My boyfriend was on the phone with me and told me to just go check it out. I’m so glad I did! He was so friendly and helpful. I told him my budget and he took me around to several options. I got a great washer/​dryer set for $ 350. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the hook up was done poorly –crossed lines caused a leak– but my handy man fixed it for me. All of the reviews were wonderful, and so was my experience!The worst part of my buying experience was finding the place– there is construction on Todd Lane, which allows for only one direction of traffic and poorly signed businesses. I finally found the place, which is located behind Johnstone was immediately greeted and shown around to the appropriate washer/​dryer set I was looking for. Everyone was very helpful! I found a nice, CLEAN, set, which didnt look rundown-​they had a ton of options to choose from from higher end front loaders to top loaders– I got a GE top load washer/​dryer set. Nothing fancy but suites our needs just fine. These cost me $ 325. They offered me same day delivery and setup free of additional charges! They came at the proposed time exactly and set the appliances up right away without problems!They also offered 30 day warranty on parts and lifetime labor warranty. So far so good! Complementary delivery was definitely a plus considering I’m in north central Austin and they are in south east Austin. Luis and Arthur were great guys to deal with. They were straightforward regarding the history and quality of the units and pricing. They also did not try to up-​sell me only unexpected thing was their facility/​showroom is a barn behind a house in a residential neighborhood.
